Steel Edges

The steel edges are a required component of snowboards and skis to give the product “bite” when carving and turning. These edges are uniquely bent to the shape and dimensions of the snowboard it will go on. The edge is “tacked” onto the base in the prep stage of production. When the board goes to the laminating stage, resin or “glue” is put over the entire edge so that a permanent bond is created between the edge, the base plastic and the fiberglass.
