| Tuesday June 9, 2009 Temperature when Pressing Snowboards When pressing a snowboard, using the right temperatures are important for many reasons. Resin systems have a temperature range at which they should be cured. It is important that these temperature guidelines are strictly followed so that the molecules of the resin can bond correctly. As resin molecules heat up they begin to move at a faster rate, this is why resins cure quicker under heat. Hotter presses = shorter cure time, however if you run it to hot you can compromise the molecular bond. Heat can also affect how flat the snowboard is and how much or how little camber it has. When a snowboard is cooking, the plastics and the resins are reacting, by regulating the top and base temperatures you can control which side of the board "pulls" more than the other. |

| Friday May 8, 2009 "Hoods to Woods" is a documentary based on the story of Brian "Deka" Paupaw and his journeys from the inner city streets of Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn to the deep powder backcountry mountains in North and South America. Through Brian's self told story, we experience how the culture of snowboarding transformed a life, once stifled by the social constraints of the streets, into one which is only bounded by the edge of a mountain. | Saturday April 11, 2009 We are so confident in our products that if you are currently having boards built with a competitor, we will build your new samples at volume prices. We know that if you give us a chance you will find that what we provide is better than what you’re getting. With exchange rates not in your favor from Europe and high volume minimums and long lead times from China, there is no better time to bring the business back to America. Go ahead and try us out, you will be glad you did. For more information contact us. |
